Je ne-sais quoi! Ou - c'est la vie?

So, hey, wow, where has the year gone? Mami y Papi have told me that the years go by quicker as you get older, and it certainly seems true - now that I'm 3-and-a-half it is just zipping by - compared with last year when I started this web-log at just 2.5!

Soon I'll be starting 'real' school - and - well as we all know - it is downhill all the way from then on, n'est-ce pas?

Oh...about the French touch - you're wondering? Well. Yes. I am trying to learn 'un peau de Francais'. Well, because with erratic, unpredictable, generally-unstable grown-ups like my parents in charge, you never know WHERE you're going to end up from one year to the next!

I mean - we were in the UK. Then we're in Spain - and - you might have guessed - now we...well at least Mami and I...are back in the UK. BUT we have been to France (for a week...between times!) and both Mami and Papi like France and - maybe there is just a chance - that - if we were to move to France - we will all get together again as a family, one day? Mais, je ne sais pas.

So, for now - I have a 'virtual' Daddy - insofar as I get to see him for a paltry few minutes every day via the wonders of Skype. So he is now sowewhat 2-dimensional! On the plus side I can totally ignore him, quite easily, while he waffles on over the Internet trying to get me to respond...it's quite funny to hear the desperation in his voice sometimes! I can't help but smirk when I think of it! (And of course...hence all the 'Skype' stuff on the front page - naturally!)

But on the down side - well - this 'separation' thing (I think that'a what they call it!) means I'm with Mami 24-hours a day...now don't get me wrong, I don't mean that in a 'bad way' (well not much - anyway) - I mean, Mami's a lovely person and all (most the time ;D).. but, let's just say...she's not the most patient person in the world...plus she makes me eat a LOT of vegetables - and I mean a LOT! (In fact she's really 'into' this whole raw-food thing just now - Jeez - it's not that I don't like 'pseudo-pasta made from raw courgettes strips and covered in 'DEEE-licious' (Mami's description) raw tomato sauce (the secret is in the sun-dried tomatoes!..Apparently :~) on occasions... but do we HAVE to have it 4 times a week?)

Well - on another tack - it has just been a peculiarly HOT few weeks here in UK. In fact so much so it reminded me of being in Spain! (Gawd it's confusing). But, today, as, was expected what with the College and School Holidays just starting..BUCKETS of rain - I mean Buckets! Naturally! 'Good old' Britain...

In fact - Daddy says "52 years of pissing terrible, grey miserable, bastard British weather is enough for any miserable sodding twat"...I'm not sure what all those words mean (hence the verbatim quote - but, he also mentioned that the French call the British weather: 'Merde!' - and I don't know what that means either!) - BUT I think it means he never wants to come back to the UK (well not permanently, at least)...So I guess I'm stuck with his frustrated 2-dimensional, sweaty, desperate visage on Skype for now... and (every now and then) the occasional visit, when Ryanair decides to give flights away (apparently you have to pay for them or something - normally)...

Will the family ever be back together properly? Well in my 3.5 years of experience... and looking at what little I've seen of other examples of adult relationships around and about - I'd say - ...qui peut dire! But in the closing years of the first decade of the 2000's ...c'est la vie...I suppose!
